The Pro Shop at Shipley Golf Club is proudly operated by the club in partnership with Express Golf, offering members and visitors access to an extensive selection of leading golf equipment, apparel, footwear, and accessories.

From the latest clubs by top brands to expert guidance on upgrading your gear, the shop caters to golfers of all abilities. Custom fitting services are also available to help you get the most out of your game.

Supported by the expertise and buying power of Express Golf, the Pro Shop delivers competitive pricing alongside knowledgeable, professional service, ensuring you find the right products both on and off the course.

James Hepworth

James is a Yorkshire-born former European Tour player turned golf coach. He turned professional in 1997 and enjoyed a 15-year career competing at the highest levels of professional golf.

Over his playing career he secured two victories on the European Challenge Tour and three wins on the PGA EuroPro Tour. These wins brought promotion to the European Tour giving an invaluable experience competing against the world's best.

Whether you're a complete beginner, a mid-handicapper looking to break through a plateau, or a competitive junior with ambitions for the tour, James tailors every session to your specific goals.

You’ll typically find James in the shop on Mondays and Wednesday, and he is available for lessons here at Shipley throughout the week and at the weekend.

Jack Docherty

Jack became a fully qualified PGA Professional in 2025 and plays a key role within the Pro Shop team. He is typically available in the shop on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, offering lessons and custom fitting services to golfers of all levels.

Jack also represents Shipley Golf Club in a number of Pro-Am’s on the Yorkshire PGA circuit, showcasing his skills while promoting the club. Alongside this, he leads the club’s Junior Coaching Programme, helping to develop and inspire the next generation of golfers.

Our standard golf coaching here at Shipley Golf Club is run by our two resident professionals;

Individual Coaching – Package prices available on application

30 Minutes – £30

60 Minutes – £50

Group Coaching (4 people per group)

£15 per person

We also continue to run our weekly Junior Team Coaching sessions alongside the popular Shipley Sharks programme. These sessions are available at a discounted rate of just £5 per junior, payable weekly.
